Recently, our fave bunch of athletic ladies called The Filthy Few ran a dirty race for a noble cause! These fab ladies ran a muddy obstacle course 5-K that benefits breast cancer research. We were so proud of them, we helped them clean up after the race!
Ok, so we may have exaggerated the soap’s cleaning power by switching the before and after shots…shhh! =)
Congratulations “Filthy Few” on getting dirty for a good cause, and for cleaning up with Soap4Squares! We had a blast!

Loungin’ in the grass and stealing momma’s corn…
OhSheGlows vegan gluten free brownies (the best part? When baking vegan, you can lick the bowl! Great for toddler helpers!)
An entire day of soaping coupled with delicious soy coffee!!
We hope your long weekend was fabulous! How did you spend the 4th?
Happy birthday ‘Murica! We’ve been spending today with friends and family celebrating our country’s independence! It’s been sunny and warm, basically the perfect day! Earlier this morning, the boys took over my kitchen to create their faves for the holiday…
Rich’s (practically famous) Sweet Sangria…
…and Rich’s Grilled Maple Bourbon Bacon Slices…here awaiting their glaze!
..and RJ even helped! Well, he ran around “cooking” things with his spatula…as he is attempting to do to my camera in this photo!
I’ll be posting recipes for the sangria and grilled bacon later this week! We hope you’re having a wonderful holiday! Stay safe!
OhSheGlows Pineapple Salsa…so good!
The best homemade banana chocolate chip protein bars EVER!
A new breakfast tea blend (Earl Grey with Lemon and Vanilla)
And finally a brand-spankin’ new batch of soap! This was by far the most ill-behaved batch of soap I’ve made in a while. The cause? I’m leaning towards operator error! All I can say is, the soap room smells AMAZING…can’t wait to share the pictures in a few days!
We hope your weekend was great! Stay square (and healthy)!
What do you mean you didn’t even know I was gone?! hehe =)
Well, the last six weeks have been a true roller coaster ride of traveling and crafting fun! While on my journey I met some amazing people with a sincere love for life and beautiful artsy things (guest posts from a few of those lovelies coming soon!). Despite all the fun I had, I’m kinda tired and don’t really feel like writing this week…which makes maintaining a blog a wee bit difficult! I can already tell I’ll need a coffee to kick start my projects this weekend. (heavy sigh) In the coming weeks I’m going to be creating a custom brand-spankin’ new Fall soap for the Bramble Berry Soap Swap, master batching my soapy oils, and detoxing from all the road food I ate (yick) with lots of good vegan chow. I’ll do my best to share all my adventures with you! But seriously, this whole writing thing might be a struggle for a day or two…of five. Anywho!
Since inspiration and fabulous creativity isn’t flowing from me just yet, I wanted to share one of my favorite finds from my journey with you! I wandered into a vintage bookstore in Charleston, South Carolina, and found a pile of blue books with letters painted on them. As it turns out, the store uses these old books to spell out words for window displays. Once the display is done, they sell them for cheap! Feeling lucky, I picked up a book that just..felt right. I opened it to a random passage that detailed a man ordering a fancy pastry from a cafe in France while saying something witty and fun. I figured, what the hey! I love books. I love pastries. I even love France. Sounds good to me! Well, the book turned out to be one of the my favorite random reads! On a side note, I must admit I think a great deal of the book’s charm was in the old fabric bindings, red trimmed pages, and musty-vintage smell. Gosh, I love a good book =)
Alright kiddos, stay nerdy (and square).
For the bestest soapy goodies (yes, bestest is a word…I think…), shop Soap4Squares! Keep an eye out for our new soaps and the like, available late July 2013!!

Just sayin’ = ) Something to think about! What is it that you would rather be doing? Passion is the key to happiness. I’m not saying quit your job and go crazy! Just start small and do little things, whatever you can, to pursue your passion.
I know, I know, I’m just so deep and thoughtful sometimes! =) I surprise even myself!
We are having an amazing Easter holiday filled with family, sunshine, and (of course) candy! RJ was so excited the Easter Bunny left him hidden eggs and a basket this morning. His first egg hunt went off with a bang! He caught on so quickly, and was finding the eggs so fast, all of our photos are a blur!
He was also extremely excited about the candy! We try to eat fairly healthy around here so needless to say, RJ about lost his mind when he saw his basket! Here he is attempting to eat TWO different pieces of candy at one time. We’re just so proud…HA!
Well, we are still waiting for the sugar rush to wear off and nap time to start! We hope you’re having a wonderful day also with your family and friends!
